Lonely is a Man Without Love on World Alzheimer’s Day

September 21, 2016 is World Alzheimer’s Day. What a crooner! 80-year-old Ted McDermott was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease 3 years ago. Some days he doesn’t recognize his son Simon McDermott, who posted a video of his father singing online to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society in Britain. Below, Simon McDermott tells ITV that Ted always remembers the words to his favorite songs. They raised over £100,000 for the Alzheimer’s Society by posting the songs of his father in the car, and now Decca Records as signed octogenarian senior citizen Ted McDermott to a record deal.
